Before you book that
call, read this.
Hiring a new team always feels like a risk: the price, the process, who you’ll actually work with, what happens if it goes wrong. So we’ve answered all of it here, honestly, before you have to ask.

Fit
Are we the right studio for you? Better to know before the call.
Who is Elysium for?
Founders building AI and technical products: security, data, developer tools, fintech infrastructure. AI is most of our work today, not all of it. What we look for is a product that takes real effort to explain.
If a buyer needs to understand something hard in five seconds, and your brand, site or product doesn't show it yet, that's the gap we close.
Who is Elysium not for?
Founders who want the lowest price, a one-off logo, or a pile of assets with no thinking behind them. We'll happily point you to someone cheaper and faster for that.
We're also not the right call if nobody on your side can make decisions. Good work needs a short path between feedback and a yes.
What kind of business do you work with?
Any business that wants to look as good as it is, from first-time founders to established companies moving up to bigger customers. Some of our best work is for teams whose story needs to catch up with the product.
We've also worked with larger teams, but we're built for owners and founders who make decisions fast.
What makes Elysium different?
We sit between a design studio, a product team and a build partner. The same senior people who set your positioning design the interface and ship the code.
Most companies hand their brand to one vendor, their site to another and their product to a third. We do it as one system, so the market sees one company.
Why are you more expensive than freelancers?
Because you're not buying assets. You're buying one senior team that learns your product and owns the whole picture.
Freelancers are great for a one-off task. The usual failure isn't talent, it's coordination: scope drifts, and the gaps between brand, product and code are where the market gets confused.
Why not just hire a full-time designer?
Sometimes you should. A full-time hire is right when the need is constant and long-term. But one person rarely covers brand, product, web, motion and front-end, and a senior hire in the US costs more than our 360 Partner plan.
Plenty of teams launch with us, then hire in-house once the system exists. We hand over cleanly so that's easy.
Can you work with our in-house team?
Yes. Most clients have engineers and many have a designer. We plug into your tools and rituals and stay close during build.
For ongoing work alongside your team, the 360 Partner and 360 Embedded plans are built for exactly that.
Services
What we make, and how it fits together.
What do you actually design and build?
Five things: brand, website, product, launch film and MVP. You can buy any one on its own, or combine them in a suite at a better price: Foundation, Launch or Scale.
That's the point of Elysium. Your logo, site, product UI and film should feel like one company, not five vendors.
What if we only need a website?
Then we design and build a website. A Landing page is a single-page site. It starts at $6,000 and takes 3–4 weeks, or $9,000 if we build it too. A Flagship site, with no limit on pages, starts at $15,000.
We still start from your product and positioning, so the site explains what you've built rather than decorating it.
Do you build the site, or just design it?
We build it. Design and development happen in the same team, in Next.js or Framer depending on what suits you, so nothing gets lost between a Figma file and the live page.
Already on Framer or Webflow and want out? We migrate to Next.js from $10,000 with no SEO loss.
Can you build our MVP?
Yes. The MVP Blueprint (2 weeks, $7,500) tests the idea, the MVP Seed (4 weeks, from $15,000) ships the core of your idea, the MVP Traction (8 weeks, from $35,000) adds billing, integrations and a polished dashboard, and the MVP Platform (12 weeks, from $75,000) covers mobile, AI agents, marketplaces and compliance.
The sprint is credited against the build if you continue within 60 days.
We vibe-coded our MVP with AI tools. Can you help?
Yes, and it's more common than you'd think. AI tools get you a working product fast. They rarely get you one that's clear, trustworthy or pleasant to use.
We take the rough build, tighten the experience and the code, and make it look like a company people will pay.
Can you work on a product that's already built?
Yes. We begin by finding where users get lost, then fix the biggest problems first.
We redesign in place, in your codebase and tools, so you don't have to start over.
Do you make launch films and motion?
Yes. From a 2-week Teaser at $5,000 to a 60–90 second Trailer at $12,000 that anchors your whole launch. We script, design and animate it with the same team that does your brand.
Films are built from your brand and product, so they feel like part of the same system, not a separate shoot.
Can you help with a pitch deck?
Yes. Narrative and design, usually in 1–2 weeks, from $7,500. It's also available as an add-on to any project or suite.
Buyers and partners decide how serious you are before the second slide, so the deck and the website should tell the same story.
Do you handle SEO and AI search?
Yes. Every site ships with clean structure and schema. The SEO and AEO setup ($4,000) adds llms.txt and the markup that helps ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers cite you.
Buyers increasingly ask an assistant before they open a browser. We make sure your company is in the answer.
Pricing
Real numbers, in public. No “it depends”.
Why do you publish your prices?
Because the first question every founder has is cost, and a call shouldn't be the price of an answer.
Publishing them means you can budget before we've spoken, and hold us to the number.
How much does a project cost?
Projects start at $4,999 for a Clarity Audit and run to $75,000 for an MVP Platform. Brand starts at $8,000, a website at $6,000, a launch film at $5,000.
Suites bundle several disciplines at a better price, from $14,000 for the Foundation Suite. Every price is on the pricing page.
How is pricing calculated?
Every price is senior days multiplied by one published rate: $1,200 a day. You can check our maths on every line.
No hidden markup, no junior team billed at senior rates, no surprise line items at the end.
Why might my quote differ from the starting price?
"From" prices are where a standard scope starts. Extra pages, custom illustration, complex integrations or tighter deadlines move the number, and you'll see why on every line.
Whatever the number is, it's confirmed in writing before work starts, and it only changes if the scope does.
Can we start small and scale up?
Yes, and we recommend it if you're unsure. The Clarity Audit is two weeks and a fixed $4,999, and every dollar is credited against a project that starts within 60 days.
The MVP Blueprint works the same way on the build side, so you never pay for the thinking twice.
Do you offer a discount for YC or a16z speedrun teams?
Yes. Teams in a current Y Combinator or a16z speedrun batch, or within 24 months of Demo Day, get 10% off everything: projects, suites and Elysium 360.
They also get a Demo Day lock, which fixes the ship date to the day you present.
How does raise-later work?
Pay 50% at kick-off. The balance is invoiced 30 days after your round closes, or 6 months after kick-off, whichever comes first.
It's a payment schedule, not a loan or equity. There's no interest and nothing on your cap table.
Can you work for equity?
No. We're paid in cash so our only incentive is the work. Raise-later exists for founders who want to start before the round closes.
Process
How a project actually runs, week to week.
How does a project work, start to finish?
A 30-minute intro call, then a written scope with a fixed price and ship date. After kick-off we work in phases, each ending in a clear sign-off.
You see working previews along the way, so there's no big reveal at the end.
How long does a project take?
Most run 2 to 12 weeks depending on scope: a landing site is 3–4 weeks, a Signature brand 7–8, an MVP Traction 8, a full Scale Suite 12–14.
Every scope comes with a fixed timeline before we start.
How fast can you start?
Usually within 1–2 weeks of signing. We take a small number of projects at a time, so our booking window is public on the contact page.
Can you handle an urgent launch?
Often, yes. A rush start kicks off within 72 hours for +30%, and we'll cut scope to protect the date rather than the quality.
Tell us the deadline on the first call. If it isn't realistic, we'll say so and show you what is.
Who will I work with?
A senior team from day one: a design lead, designers and developers who have done this before. The people who pitch the work are the people who do it.
We don't hand you to a junior team after the contract is signed.
Who is my day-to-day contact?
A named design lead. They run the project, take your feedback and answer you the same day, so you never have to chase.
The founder joins the intro call and the scope review, and checks in at every major milestone.
How do we communicate during a project?
A shared Slack channel for the day-to-day, a weekly call to review progress and a live preview link so you can see work as it happens.
We use the tools you already use, such as Notion, Linear, Figma or GitHub, instead of asking you to learn ours.
How many revisions do I get?
Each phase has two structured review rounds, then a sign-off. That keeps feedback focused and the timeline honest.
If something misses the brief, we fix it. Our guarantees cover the outcomes that matter, not just the number of rounds.
What do you need from us to start?
Access to your product, your team and, ideally, a few customers, plus any existing brand files or code.
Everything else, including positioning and copy, we can lead on. You don't need a brief, only a clear idea of what you're trying to achieve.
What causes projects to slip?
Almost always the same three things: feedback that arrives late, too many people giving it, and no single owner on the client side.
Name one decision-maker who can reply within a couple of working days, keep feedback inside the review rounds, and most projects land on or before the date.
Guarantees
What we put in writing, so the risk isn't all yours.
What is the first-glance guarantee?
Before we design, we show 50 people who match your buyer your homepage for five seconds and ask what the company does. We run it again on the new site.
If more people don't get it, we keep revising, free, until they do. It applies to websites and every suite.
What happens if you miss the ship date?
If the delay is on our side, you get 5% off the final invoice for every week we're late, up to 25%.
It applies to every fixed project and suite, and it's in the contract, not just on this page.
What if it doesn't work out?
Every phase ends in a sign-off, so you're never committed to the next one blind. If something isn't working, we say so early and fix it, or stop.
You only pay for work you've approved, and everything delivered so far is yours.
Ownership & legal
Who owns what, who sees what.
Do we own the work?
Yes. You own every file and every line of code, including source files, on final payment. There's no licence to renew.
Handover includes clean, documented files and training for your team.
Are we locked in to you or any platform?
No. We build on common platforms like Next.js and Framer, in code and files you control, so any competent developer can pick them up.
If a platform isn't right for where you're going, we'll tell you and plan the move.
Are there third-party licence costs?
Sometimes: a premium font, stock footage, a CMS plan or a hosting tier. We flag every one in the scope before you sign, and licences are bought in your name.
Nothing arrives as a surprise on the final invoice.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes, happily. Send yours before the call, or we'll send ours. Many founders are pre-launch when we meet, and confidentiality is the default.
Can you show the work in your portfolio?
Only with your permission. If you're in stealth, we won't publish anything until you say so, and we can anonymise a case study if you'd like us to.
How do you handle AI in your own process?
We use AI tools for speed in research, drafts and code, with senior people reviewing every output. Nothing ships without a human who's accountable for it.
We never put your confidential material into tools that train on it.
Billing
Currency, invoices and when money moves.
How does billing work?
Projects under $20k are 50% to start and 50% on delivery. Suites and projects over $20k are 40% to start, 30% at the midpoint and 30% on delivery.
Retainers are billed monthly in advance. Pay quarterly and save 10%.
What currency and payment methods do you use?
Everything is billed in USD, by wire or card. Procurement-friendly invoices are available on request.
Do you work with clients outside the US?
Yes. Our team works across time zones, and we schedule calls and reviews around yours. Most clients are in the US, UK and Europe.
After launch
What happens once it ships, and how to keep going.
What happens after launch?
We don't disappear the day it ships. Every MVP includes 30 days of post-launch fixes, and every handover includes training for your team.
If you'd rather we keep going, there's a retainer for that, below.
What is Elysium 360?
A monthly retainer: the same senior team, across every surface. Plans run from 360 Core at $8,000 a month to 360 Embedded at $30,000, a dedicated pod inside your sprints.
Every plan includes every service, a weekly call, one active request per stream, unlimited revisions, specialists as the work needs them, and responsive builds with editable Figma files. The plans differ only in how many streams run at once.
The 360 Partner pod of a design lead, designer and developer costs about what a single senior hire does in the US.
What if we don't use all our retainer time in a month?
Elysium 360 is about momentum, not billed hours. Each stream works through your requests one at a time, and if a month is quiet we use the time to get ahead on your roadmap and improve what's live.
Is there a minimum commitment on retainers?
Three months, then month-to-month. You can pause and resume anytime with no penalty, and your rate is locked for 24 months.
Can you make small updates after the project ends?
Yes. Extra pages are $1,500 each, and a Core retainer covers updates within 48 hours, plus Framer and CMS changes.
Or take the files and go on without us. Both are fine.
Getting started
The first step is smaller than you think.
How do I get started?
Book a 30-minute intro call with the founder, or send a brief. We look at your product before we talk, so the time goes on your problem.
Within one working day you get a straight answer: whether we're a fit, how we'd approach it and what it costs. If it makes sense, we add your co-founders to a shared Slack channel and send a written scope.
What should I prepare for the intro call?
Nothing formal. Know what you're building, who it's for, and roughly when you need it live. A link to your product or current site helps.
Is the intro call really free?
Yes. Thirty minutes, no pitch deck, no pressure. If we're not the right fit, you'll still leave with a clearer idea of what to do next.
I'm not sure what I need. Where do I begin?
Start with the Clarity Audit: two weeks with our senior team on your product and positioning. You leave with a prioritised plan you can act on with us, your own team or no one.
Or answer a few questions in the finder on the pricing page, and it will suggest where to start.
