01 · Challenge

Coris sells to cynical risk and payments leaders at banks, platforms and fintechs. An audience that scrutinizes a website for composure before reading a single word. The product had to feel calm, exact and bank-grade.

02 · Approach

We structured the site around how a risk team actually works—from signal to action—turning dense merchant underwriting and dispute intelligence into clear, instant decisions with bespoke motion.

03 · Outcome

A site that matches the seriousness of $50B+ in monitored payments, an 80% drop in manual reviews, and backing from YC and Lux Capital. Delivered as an extensible Webflow system in 6 weeks.

01The challenge

Risk leaders don't buy hype. They look for composure before they read a single sentence.

Selling trust to the people who police it

Selling to payments infrastructure and compliance executives is notoriously unforgiving. If a site looks too flashy, it feels reckless; if it looks like heritage enterprise software, it looks slow and outdated. Founded by PayPal, eBay and WePay risk veterans Vinodh Poyyapakkam and Shyam Maddali, Coris had built a generational platform for merchant intelligence, underwriting and dispute resolution.

The website had to carry that deep operational composure from the very first glance. Every diagram, metric, and interaction needed to signal absolute precision to buyers at platforms like GoFundMe, Kajabi, and Clio.

What traditional risk sites do

  • Vague AI claims without architectural substance
  • Chaotic dashboards that overwhelm the buyer
  • Generic padlock iconography and stock corporate photography
  • Zero explanation of how signals turn into decisions

What Coris does

  • Signal-to-action clarity: how signals trigger automated actions
  • 80% drop in manual reviews backed by empirical data
  • Transparent risk tiering and KYB verification flows
  • Composed, bank-grade typography and fluid interactive controls

02Strategy & architecture

Organizing the dense merchant risk stack

The Coris platform covers four critical phases of the merchant lifecycle: onboarding, underwriting, continuous transaction monitoring, and chargeback dispute resolution. Instead of cramming all four into a generic feature list, we mapped the narrative to the daily reality of a Head of Risk.

Buyers can jump directly into their primary headache: whether that is unblocking legitimate merchants in seconds, catching synthetic identity fraud, or automating dispute evidence assembly.

From signal to decision

Turning billions of data points into binary risk confidence. Coris connects fragmented payment data streams into a unified merchant profile that surfaces risk before chargebacks hit.

  • The Four Pillars of Coris 01

    Instant Merchant KYB

Automated business verification that approves legitimate merchants in seconds while catching fraudulent shell companies.

  • The Four Pillars of Coris 02

    Precision Underwriting

Dynamic underwriting rules powered by real-time business health, transaction velocity, and web footprint analysis.

  • The Four Pillars of Coris 03

    Continuous Monitoring

Always-on anomaly detection that catches risk drift, sudden spikes in dispute ratios, and unauthorized inventory shifts.

  • The Four Pillars of Coris 04

    Dispute Autopilot

Automated evidence compilation that wins chargebacks with bank-proven representment packets.

03Visual system & motion

A visual language of surgical restraint

We crafted a design language rooted in deep emerald teals, crisp monospace annotations, and high-contrast dark surfaces. The typography pairs an authoritative sans with tabular numerals, ensuring that complex risk matrices and financial figures are effortless to scan.

Motion runs throughout the interface with quiet purpose. Nothing spins or bounces gratuitously. Data streams glide into risk gauges, charts reveal trendlines calmly, and status badges shift state with calculated mechanical precision.

04Engineering & scale

Built on Webflow for independent velocity

Enterprise software companies often become paralyzed by engineering backlogs when marketing wants to spin up a campaign or release an integration page. We built Coris on a modular Webflow architecture with custom code injections.

The marketing team can launch new integration landing pages, update benchmark studies, and customize buyer flows without waiting on a product sprint.

“They got what we were building from day one. The new site and motion graphics translated a technical AI product into something that actually feels like the future of risk infrastructure. Felt less like hiring an agency, more like adding a design partner to the team.”
